Need a fun 4th of July activity for the kids? Send them off on this holiday themed printable 4th of July scavenger hunt!
What is it about 4th of July that makes it so… fun to celebrate? I guess there are many different reasons, all of which depend on how your family tends to spend the holiday. When I was a kid, our Independence Day celebrations were very repetitive. Every year, same thing. Same people over, same fireworks, same menu. No matter, it was so much fun!
These days, I find that our 4th of July plans change almost every year! Some years we host a big pool party, other years we go to a friend’s BBQ. We almost always set out some fun 4th of July photo props. Once in awhile we head to a parade, sometimes we trek to fireworks at night. It’s always a fun time and I love any excuse to serve red, white and blue treats!

Scavenger Hunts Make Awesome Boredom Busters
My kids LOVE scavenger hunts! I love them because they are great boredom busters. My kids enjoy them because it’s always a fun challenge to see how many items you can find. It’s kind of like a treasure hunt!
This activity is easy enough for most kids to do either individually or on teams.
You need very few supplies – just the printable (see below), a writing utensil, and a clipboard if desired.
