American Flag Oreo Cookie Pops

These adorable (and yummy) patriotic treats are the perfect splash of red, white and blue for your holiday dessert table! You could also make a very festive centerpiece out of these pops. Take the classic Oreo cookie, smother it in white chocolate, and decorate it in USA’s colors for a really fun snack.

To make these treats, you will need:

Oreos (I used the mega stuffed variety)
Wilton White Candy Melts
Wilton Red Candy Melts
Blue Sprinkles
Wilton 4-inch Lollipop Sticks

How to make:

1. Spread out some wax or parchment paper and lay out your Oreo Cookies. I used the Mega Stuffed Oreos so that I had more “stuffing” to hold the lollipop sticks.

2. Place a lollipop stick inside the center of each Oreo.

3. Melt white melting candy according to the directions on the bag. I used my Wilton Chocolate & Candy Melts Melting Pot.

4. First I spooned white chocolate over the backsides of all of the Oreos. I set them aside for a bit to let the chocolate cool and harden. (If you are pressed for time, stick the tray in the freezer and the chocolate will harden within minutes.)

5. Repeat process on the other side of the cookies.

6. Melt red chocolate candy and drizzle over one side of the cookies. I made a piping bag using a plastic sandwich baggie, snipping off a corner of the bag and squeezing the chocolate through the hole.
