Red, White and Blue Chocolate Dipped Pretzels

We are in full holiday-weekend-mode over here and moving through our annual barrage of one fun activity to the next. Horse shows! Parade! BBQs! We had a small window of time today to prepare some of the food that we’ll be bringing to our various events over the next 2 days. One of the things that I made were these awesome looking American Flag Inspired Chocolate Dipped Pretzels!

These are really simple to make.

Ingredients:

How to make:

1. Prepare your workspace! I like used a cooling rack over parchment or wax paper when I am dipping pretzels in chocolate.

To make the red, white and blue dipped pretzels:

1. Add white melting chocolate to a chocolate warmer. If you do not have a warmer, place the melts in the microwave safe glass bowl. Microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring each time, until the chocolate is melted.

2. Dip pretzel rods into the white chocolate, one at a time. Use a spoon to coat the pretzels about 3/4 of their length. Lay on drying rack and allow chocolate to harden.

3. Melt blue chocolate. Dip the top 1/4 of the pretzels with blue chocolate.

4. Sprinkle the blue sprinkles on the blue chocolate before the chocolate hardens.

5. Melt red chocolate and drizzle it over the white chocolate on each pretzel.

To make the blue dipped pretzels with red swirls:

1. Add blue melting chocolate to a chocolate warmer. If you do not have a warmer, place the melts in the microwave safe glass bowl. Microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring each time, until the chocolate is melted.

2. Dip pretzel rods into the blue chocolate, one at a time. Use a spoon to coat the pretzels about 3/4 of their length. Lay on drying rack and allow chocolate to harden.

3. Melt red chocolate and drizzle over each blue pretzel.

4. Sprinkle white sprinkles on top of the red chocolate drizzles.
