We are always looking for any excuse to throw a party or BBQ around here and you KNOW how much I love putting together fun red white and blue content! I’m not sure what it is about patriotic foods and decorations that makes me smile so much, but there it is.
I love this color combo and I don’t think there is any such thing as TOO much red, white and blue on your party table. We of course associate the red/white/blue combo with our American flag which makes these party ideas perfect for Memorial Day, 4 of July, etc.
I happen to think that a patriotic party theme looks fantastic all summer long. Our summer pool parties, backyard BBQs, etc always feature some red, white and blue theme-ing.
These brownies are really easy to decorate and my kids had a lot of fun helping me when we made them last summer. You could totally set this dessert up at a make-and-take kind of table and offer undecorated brownies with the frosting and M&Ms. Watch your guests have a ton of fun as they make up some USA flag brownies!
Supplies for USA Flag Brownies
Brownies, cut into rectangles
White frosting
Red and Blue M&Ms (I was able to find a patriotic themed bag! This worked perfectly!)
How to Make USA Flag Brownies
1. Cover each brownie with a thin layer of frosting.
2. Place M&Ms on the brownie in an American Flag pattern.
3. My brownies were about 5 M&Ms in length. I used 4 blue M&Ms for the star area and then used 13 red M&Ms to make 3 red stripes.
They turned out so cute!
