Looking for a quick and delicious fall treat? These easy air fryer pumpkin hand pies are just the answer! They are made with store-bought pie crust and cook up in just minutes!
What’s more iconic to the fall season than PUMPKIN?! It’s hard to escape the pumpkin spice craze every year and it seems like every year this flavor or scent can be found EVERYWHERE. This addition to our air fryer recipe collection is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It makes the perfect snack or dessert. Better yet – it’s so simple to make, even the kids can make them with little adult assistance!
We love our air fryer and use it several times a week. Sometimes, it sees multiple uses during a single DAY!
The nice thing about these hand pies is their size. They are the perfect single serving and you can make them up in batches or just a pie or two at a time, depending on how many people you are feeding.
We used canned pumpkin pie filling for this recipe to speed up the process.
If pumpkin isn’t your thing or if you simply want a little variety, try switching up this recipe with other pie filling flavors. For example apple pie filling or cherry pie filling would work great!
I love how these cook up in the air fryer. The inside is warm and gooey and the outside has that crisp texture that is just perfect.

Air Fryer Pumpkin Hand Pies Recipe
Equipment
- Air fryer
- Rolling pin
- 3 inch round cookie cutter
- basting brush
Ingredients
- 1 pack pie crust
- 5 oz pumpkin pie filling
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
Instructions
- Roll out the pie crust and use a round cookie cutter to cut out the circles. We got 7 circles from each crust, and our pack had 2 crusts (14 total circles).
- In a small bowl, mix the pumpkin pie spice and pumpkin pie filling together.
- Add a small spoonful of pumpkin pie filling to the middle of half of your pie crust circles.
- For the remaining circles, slightly roll them out with a rolling pin so they are a tad bit larger than the bottom pumpkin-filled circles. Place a larger crust circle on top of each bottom crust circle. Use a fork to join the two edges together.
- Brush the crusts with an egg wash.
- Place pies in the air fryer and cook at 350 F for 12-15 minutes. (They are finished when the crust has browned slightly and is cooked through.)
- Serve and enjoy!
My family really loves to make these pies!! They are such a quick and simple treat. Check out our air fryer apple hand pies for another variety! Same basic recipe and same process, just swap out the pumpkin filling for apple!
