This is the perfect way to thank someone who just happens to love coffee.  You can attach a gift card to the coffee shop of your choice and treat the special teacher, coach, etc to a tasty drink or two!

Gift Card

When I was a teacher, one of my favorite gifts to receive by far were gift cards – Starbucks being the most coveted of them all. Inspiration for this project came from eighteen25.

If you’re looking for a Dunkin’ Donuts themed gift card holder, I just posted one!

These cards are a fairly simple gift to assemble. They print in a 5×7 size and you can print them at home or from the photo finishing company of your choosing. I printed my cards at home on card stock.  I finally got the chance (only took me about 5 years) to put all of these card designs in one neat and tidy printable file for you.  Simply enter your email at the prompt and check your inbox (or promotions tab if you have gmail) for an email from me containing the link to the PDF.  The PDF contains each design, 2 cards per page.  Simply print the page that has the design you like best (or feel free to mix and match).

I bought Starbucks gift cards for each of Lily’s teachers (though you could certainly substitute any coffee shop’s gift card).

Note: these cards are for personal use only.

I’ll show you how to assemble these:

To complete these cards, you’ll need one of those “oh-my-God-this-drink-is-burning-my-flesh-protector-thingers.”  I think the official term for them is a “sleeve.” I measured and cut the sleeve, then I affixed the cut piece to my card, Starbucks logo down, with double-sided tape.  I inserted the gift card (if you think your gift card will fall out, you can always secure it with a piece of tape.

Thanks a Latte

To finish off my cards, I wrapped a long strand of twine around each one a few times, tying the ends in a small bow.  Lily signed each card before they were delivered. This gift card holder is an easy and cute way to dress up a coffee-related gift card!
