Did you know that ALDI sells wine?
What are the first thoughts that enter your mind when thinking about ALDI and wine together? Discount? Cheap?
I love a good glass of wine. I’m not overly picky but my wine enthusiasm has evolved to the point where I do appreciate a QUALITY wine. One thing I have learned over the years is to not judge a wine by its label or bottle or even box. Just because a wine has a cheaper price tag does not always mean the taste has been compromised in order to cut cost.
I have been curious about ALDI’s wine selection for years now, always wondering if the bargain price tag meant a lesser quality wine. I recently had the chance to sample a selection of ALDI’s wine (I know, I know, it’s a rough job LOL). I had several takeaways that I just had to share with you.
The truth about ALDI wine:
- ALDI sells a variety of wine, from white to red, and the selection is a good one.
- Many bottles of wine at ALDI sell for under $10 each.
- I honestly couldn’t tell the difference between their wine and a couple of the bottles already in my wine rack from the state store.
- Several friends were completely surprised when I told them the wine they were drinking (and raving about) came from ALDI.
- When you’re shopping for wine at ALDI, you’d better not forget to shop from their gourmet cheese and meat selection, because they pair amazingly well with the wines.
- Bob and I enjoyed the Broken Clouds Pinot Noir SO much, it was gone before I had the chance to take a picture of the bottle. #truth #sorrynotsorry
