We are on the brink of another road trip to Disney and this new app comes at absolutely the perfect time. Disney has just released their brand new Disney Movies Anywhere App. You know all of those Disney Movie Rewards codes that come with many of your fave Disney movies? That code will not just give you bonus points in your DMR account, but it will also unlock a digital version of some of those movies (those that included the digital format). DIG OUT THOSE CODES if you haven’t already entered them. If you have, you’re about to discover a whole new way to access them – and it’s SUPER EASY. No, really. The 5 year old in our house can do it.
This app will allow you to take your favorite Disney, Pixar and Marvel movies with you in digital form. No more lugging the DVD player with you if you have this app loaded onto your iOS device (requires OS7 or higher).
PLUS not only can you stream your movies when you’re connected to a network, you can DOWNLOAD movies to your device for watching ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, no network required.
I’m going to walk you through using this app step by step. Are you ready?
First things first.
Head to the app store on your device and locate the Disney Movies Anywhere app. Download the app.
Load the app and it will prompt you to log into your Disney Movie Rewards account ON the app. If you do not have an account, you can create one.
Log into your iTunes account when prompted to do so.
iTunes will then redirect you back to the app.
Click on the “My Collection” icon at the bottom of the main app screen. This will pull up all of your movies that you have unlocked with codes.
Not only can you watch these movies right away, you also have the option to download any of them onto your device so that they can be watched WITHOUT having to connect to a network. Keep in mind, this will use up a decent amount of memory. I will be downloading a movie here or there to keep Lily occupied on long road trips, then deleting them to free up space once we get home.
After I downloaded this app and connect my accounts, I was able to load movies from “My Collection” immediately. I was impressed with the quality – seamless streaming with perfect picture and sound!

I have been trying for days to get the free Incredibles. I connect my itunes and nothing happens. My other purchased Disney movies show up but no incredibles.
I’m not sure why it isn’t working. :( I connected my app account to my iTunes account and it took me to a confirmation screen that they had been linked. Then the free movie just showed up in my collection automatically.
None of my movies ‘downloaded’ do you think I did something wrong?
I’m sorry I just saw your comment! Hopefully you have gotten it to work by now – but if not, did you connect your app to your itunes account? That’s what made my movies appear.
I think maybe you should add in your article that it only transfers movies that had digital copies in the combo packs. I have 30 plus movies I used reward codes for that can not be viewed on the app, because they did not come with a digital copy. That is what confuses people, if it don’t say digital copy, then no movie for you on the new app. Other than that great sight.
? I stated that info in the first paragraph of the post. I agree – I wish it worked for every code you unlock. We have a ton of the Disney Jr DVDs that I would love to have digital copies of.
I have installed all that got my free incredible s, so where do I get the digital copies? I have frozen and a few others that say they have digital copies but i dont see any codes? and where do they go in itunes or Disney?
The only movie that I have a digital copy of that did NOT come with a code is Frozen. I bought it through iTunes and then since you have to connect your iTunes account to the Disney app (which you did since you got The Incredibles), when I click on “purchased” in the Disney app, Frozen just appeared automatically.
