AMC Theatre Summer Movies Deal for Kids!
AMC Theatre is offering a SWEET deal for kids this summer. Select locations are offering weekly movies and snacks at a deep discount.
Add another great option to this year’s lineup of cheap summer fun for kids! AMC Theatres (select locations only) is offering one heck of a sweet deal that will not only get you a deeply discounted movie ticket, but also includes some snacks! Like I just mentioned, this deal is running at participating theatres only. You can check out the list of theatres participating in the AMC Theatres Summer Movies Deal for Kids program here. I was really disappointed to see that my local theatre is NOT on the list. Hopefully you will have better luck.
AMC Summer Movies for Kids
Here are the details regarding this program:
Each participating location will show a different kid-friendly movie each Wednesday.
Tickets can be purchased at the box office of participating theatres.
Tickets are $4 plus tax per person and include admission PLUS an AMC KidsPack from the concession stand.
AMC KidsPacks include: Kid-sized popcorn, kid-sized fountain drink, and a pack of AMC Frooti Tootis
This might just be one of the best deals this summer!
Tips for making the most out of AMC Summer Movies:
1. Arrive early. Many of the summer movies fill up quickly, especially when the weather outside is rainy. Sometimes summer camps or day cares will bring large groups of kids to the movies. If you plan to arrive at the theater 30-60 minutes early, you will almost always be able to score tickets to that days’ movie.
2. Bring a sweatshirt for each kid. Movie theaters are dark and chilly! Sometimes they are actually too cold when you sit for 2 hours in the AC. It’s always a good idea to bring an extra layer for everyone, just in case.
3. Don’t expect a quiet theater. We have all been there – you are all set to enjoy a movie that you have been looking forward to and then you end up with a loud person (kid or adult) in your theater. Totally annoying. But try to pack some patience during these cheap summer movies as they are, after all, FOR KIDS. Kids are chatty, squiggly, and some might have never been to a movie theater before! Don’t expect a quiet theater and try to go with the (noisy) flow.
4. Check to make sure your local theater is participating before loading the kids in the car. Don’t set yourself (or your kids) up for massive disappointment. While many AMC Theatres participate in the summer movie program, some do not.
