Acme Trip: $13.14 Out of Pocket for $70.10 Worth of Product

There were a couple of things worth picking up at Acme this week – I love taking iced tea to work and chocolate milk always tops my list for dessert choices.  :)  Mama Cheaps is a salad fiend and loves her FF Caesar Italian dressing.  Last but not least – brownie mix!  We have about 15 summer BBQs to attend and brownies are always our go-to take-along dessert… so we usually pick them up when they are free.

It wasn’t until I got to the registers at Acme that I realized the iced tea coupons were do not double.  Bummer!  But, as  it turned out, I ended up getting $.31 overage on all 10 brownies (on sale $.49/each and I had $.40/1 coupons that all doubled to $.80).  So it all worked out pretty close to what I figured.

$.39 each after coupon, doubling and instant savings

(10) Swiss Premium Tea – $1.50
Used (10) $0.75 off Swiss Premium Tea, exp. 7/31/11 (SS 06/26/11 R) – do not double

Total out of pocket we paid: $13.14 (81% savings)
