As we trade in the pumpkin patches for winter coats and mittens over here, there is always a season other than winter on the horizon: COLD AND FLU SEASON. I’m actually writing this to you now with BOTH kids under the weather with their first colds of the season. Yes, the coughing, snot blowing, tissue flinging season of colds has arrived at our house. Talk about an unwelcome visitor!
While we always follow the age old sage advice regarding colds (fluids, lots of sleep, etc), there are a few products that I do keep in my arsenal to help ease the aches and pains (for me AND my kids LOL) when THEY get sick.

ClearWay Nasal Aspirator – If you follow me on Facebook, I have posted about this one in the past. I promise you that if you can get over the concept of (literally) sucking the snot out of your kid’s nose, you’ll learn that this is seriously the most AMAZING product EVER for unclogging little noses!
360° Cool Mist Ultrasonic Humidifier – We got this humidifier up and running in Landon’s room last night and after just one night I could tell a difference. I love that it features a filter-free tank and even has two different spouts allowing you to aim it towards more than one kid if your kids share a room. I took a picture of this humidifier on low – and it was still producing a visible mist! I’m so impressed with this humidifier I plan on buying a 2nd one to replace the older one currently in Lily’s room!
Safety 1st Advanced Solutions Family Thermometer – I bought this thermometer during a Zulily sale last month and I love it! Easy to use, quick readings… this thermometer has helped me big time over the last week!
