Easy Ruler Valentines
When it comes to Valentines for kids to give out to friends, there are so many great and easy ideas out there. In fact, I have grown quite the collection of easy Valentine ideas right here on the blog (many of which have free printable tags or cards for you to use!). Some of my Valentine printables are for candy themed Valentines, but a whole bunch of them use supplies you can round up at the dollar store. Love a good budget-friendly Valentine!
Just like our pencil Valentines and our glue stick Valentines, these ruler Valentines are fun, easy and give the kids a school supply that by February, is always appreciated.
I highly recommend shopping the back to school sales when rulers tend to go on sale for as low as 25 cents each. Stock up on enough for the class.
Ruler Valentine Supplies
You only need a few supplies for this Valentine!
Rulers (one per kid)
Scissors
Twine or ribbon
Single hole punch
Printable tags (I recommend printing them on white card stock)

How to Make Ruler Valentines
1. Print out our free printable Valentine tags. These tags are in an easy-to-access PDF file and have 6 tags per page. Print as many pages as you need. Each tag is approximately 3×3 inches.
2. Cut the tags out and have your kiddo fill in the “to” and “from” spaces on each tag, addressing them to classmates.
3. Use a single hole punch to put a hole in the top left corner of each tag.
4. Tie 1 tag around each ruler with your twine or ribbon.
That’s it!
