Rice Krispies Halloween Peeps Pops

Ingredients

  • 2 8 ct boxes of Kellogg’s Rice Krispie Treats
  • 16 Popsicle sticks OR Lollipop sticks OR festive paper straws
  • 12 oz Wilton Bright White candy melts
  • Halloween Peeps
  • Halloween Sprinkles

Instructions

  • Line a large baking sheet with wax or parchment paper.
  • Open each Rice Krispie Treat and discard the wrappers.
  • Insert one popsicle or lollipop stick (or paper straw) into the base of each treat and place on the prepared baking sheet. (I used a popsicle stick to pre-make the hole – then inserted a paper straw that I had cut in half.)

  • Once all the treats have a popsicle or lollipop stick, place the baking sheet in the fridge for 20 minutes. This gives the treats a chance to get extra firm, which is helpful before adding melted chocolate to them!
  • While the Rice Krispie Treats are in the refrigerator, start melting the candy melts.

  • Once the candy has melted, dip each Rice Krispie Treat into the melted chocolate coating.
  • Use a spoon if needed and then allow the excess melted chocolate to drip back into the bowl (or candy warmer). Place the treat on the baking sheet and add sprinkles or press a Peep into the warm candy. Repeat with all treats.

  • You can pop these treats in the refrigerator to help the chocolate harden. They can then be served immediately or stored in an airtight container in a cool place for up to 3 days.
