Instructions
Step 1: Make the Yarn “Feathers”
Choose three different colors of yarn (think fall-inspired shades). Wrap each color around your hand several times, then carefully slide it off and tie a piece of yarn around the middle to secure. Snip the loops on both ends to create a fluffy yarn pom-pom.
Make three pom-poms of each color so you’ll have nine total.

Step 2: Prepare the Wreath Base
Take a paper plate and cut out the inner circle, leaving the outer rim to use as your wreath base.

Step 3: Attach the Pom-Poms
Using double-sided tape or glue, attach the yarn pom-poms evenly around the paper plate circle. These will serve as the turkey’s bright and feathery tail.

Step 4: Create the Turkey
Print and cut out the pieces from the Turkey Template. Trace the shapes onto construction paper in the appropriate colors – brown for the body, yellow for the beak and feet, red for the wattle, and white/black for the eyes.
Cut out all the pieces and assemble your turkey by layering and gluing them together.

Step 5: Attach the Turkey
Once your turkey is assembled, glue or tape it onto the bottom center of your wreath.

Display Your Turkey Wreath
That’s it! Your turkey wreath is ready to hang on a door, display on a wall, or place in the center of your Thanksgiving table. Kids will love seeing their artwork brighten up the holiday décor.
