If you are looking to add a fun twist to your family’s Thanksgiving appetizers, I’ve got just the thing. I mean, who doesn’t love a good charcuterie board, right? We made up not one, but two turkey-themed charcuterie boards that are as delicious as they are Instagram-worthy!

The best part? These charcuterie boards are incredibly easy to put together, require minimal prep, and can be made up to a day in advance. Perfect for busy parents like me! And hey, they’re a fabulous conversation starter for your holiday gatherings. Let’s dive in!

Tray type: You will want to use a large, round tray for this charcuterie board, if possible.

Tray #1: The Classic Gobbler

Ingredients:

  • Rosemary sprigs
  • Candied pecans
  • Smoked Gouda
  • Cucumbers
  • Black olives (or sliced olives of your choice)
  • Dried cranberries
  • Peppercorn salami
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Dried apricots
  • Salami of choice
  • Goat cheese
  • Orange pepper

How to Assemble:

  1. Base and Feathers: Start by laying out your rosemary sprigs, candied pecans, and smoked Gouda along the top of the board, fanning them out to form the top of the turkey’s feathers.
  2. Keep Adding Rows: Add slices of cucumbers topped with olives and underneath that, a row of peppercorn salami, creating another layer of feathers.
  3. So Cheesy: Place squares of cheddar cheese under the peppercorn salami.
  4. Fruits & Veggies: Add cucumber slices, dried apricots, and dried cranberries.
  5. Meaty Deliciousness: Fan a row of any type of salami you’d like around the bottom of the tray, leaving a small space open for the goat cheese.
  6. Finishing Touches: Pile some goat cheese at the very bottom of the board for the turkey’s head. Add features to the turkey by placing 1/3 of an orange pepper over the cheese. Use pieces of olives, rosemary and apricot to create the turkey’s eyes, beak, feet, etc.

Tip: You can use black olives or olives of your choice to add eyes to your turkey. Just place them on top of the orange pepper slices.
