Get ready for your 4th of July celebrations with this incredibly delicious and cool looking pie! This Stars and Stripes Patriotic Berry Pie recipe is going to look amazing on your dessert table! Try out this pie for your next USA themed gathering.
If you have ever cruised through my 4th of July collection (and if you haven’t, make sure you do) you know that I LOVE red, white and blue treats. There are so many different options and you can have fun making these for parties all summer long. I typically kick off the summer season with patriotic dishes over Memorial Day Weekend. Then I continue to make various recipes through Labor Day. (And on years when the Olympics are held, some red, white and blue treats are fun to take to watch parties!)
Stars and Stripes Patriotic Berry Pie
As you can see from the image above, this pie is most definitely picture-worthy! It uses two different fruit berry fillings (blueberries on the left and cherries on the right) to give it a blue and red coloring.
Use a star shaped cookie cutter to cut the stars out of your crust. (We used two different sized cutters.) A butter knife will work perfectly for cutting the pastry “stripes” to complete the flag look.

How to Make a Stars and Stripes Pie
Follow these simple directions to make your own patriotic pie!
Stars and Stripes Patriotic Berry Pie
Equipment
- star shaped cookie cutters
- pie pan
Ingredients
- 15 oz package of pie crust
- 21 oz blueberry pie filling
- 40 oz cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 F.
- Roll out and place one layer of pie crust on the bottom of your pie pan.
- Pour the blueberry pie filling onto 1/3 of the left side of the pie pan.
- Fill the rest of the pie pan with cherry pie filling. You want visibly less blue than red, in an attempt to look like the American flag.
- Roll out the second pie crust and lay it flat on your work surface.
- Cut out 6-8 stars and 6 strips from this pie crust.
- Place the stars on the left side of the pie.
- Place the strips on the right side of the pie.
- Bake for 45 minutes. Pie crust should be a golden brown when finished.
- Let cool for an hour before serving. (Pie can be stored overnight at room temperature or frozen to enjoy at a later date.)
