As another school year draws to a close, I found myself trying to come up with this year’s theme for our last day of school cookie gifts to the elementary school teachers. Every year since my oldest was in Pre-K, I have sent in cookies for the kids’ homeroom teachers and the school secretaries, principal and our bus driver. Our cookies have had all kinds of different themes! Since Landon remains so steadfastly enamored by all-things-space, I decided that it was pretty fitting for SPACE (rockets and astronauts) to be our theme this year.

This Year Was a Blast
The coolest thing about these rocket themed gift tags? You can use them with ANY gift! Space themed or not, cookies or not. Just because I used cookies does not mean that you can’t gift something else!
Here’s a quick step-by-step for how I put these gifts together, just in case you are doing something similar!
Materials used:
- Cookies
- Plastic favor boxes and bakery boxes
- Twine
- Scissors
- Single hole punch
- Paper shred
- Our printable tags

Start by adding some paper shred to the bottom of your favor box. Place cookies or treats on top of the shred.
Place the lid on your favor box.
Cut out the printable tags. You can have your kiddo sign the back of each tag if you’d like. Use a single hole puncher to put a hold in each tag.
Take a long piece of twine and tie it around the box. Affix the tag on the top of the favor box by tying it onto the twine.
That’s it! They look awesome and are ready to gift!
