This fun printable will give your kids some fun non-screen time as they use play dough to make various “reindeer parts” and then place them on the mat, depending on what they roll! Grab our free printable roll a reindeer play dough activity mat for your next holiday party or snowy afternoon!
If you loved our Christmas tree printable play dough mat, you are going to love this one too! Rudolph is an iconic symbol of the Christmas season and this activity is engaging and fun! Kids will love making the reindeer parts out of dough and then rolling a dice to see which part they get to add to the mat.
Kids will practice fine motor skills as they sculpt the pieces. This activity would work great for holiday party fun.
The printable activity mat is an easy-to-open PDF and you can print as many copies as you need.

You will need the following supplies:
- Roll a Reindeer play dough mat
- Play-Doh (or homemade play dough or any type of craft clay)
- Laminator (optional)
- Dice (just one will do, or one per player!)
We laminated our play dough mats to make them ever more sturdy and durable. We have this laminator and it works great for home projects like this one.
How to Play
1. Make the reindeer pieces in play dough before beginning game play.
2. Kids take turns rolling a die to see what body part they get to put on the mat. If they roll a part that has already been placed on the mat, they can roll again until they get a number needed to complete the reindeer.
This game can be played by several kids using one mat, or individually with each child using his or her own mat!
I love keeping easy activity mats like this one on hand for those rainy (or snowy!) days or sick days or even for holiday activities. Sometimes you just need a few minutes of activity for the kids as you get dinner ready or transition from one thing to another. These play dough mats are screen-free and really get them to use their brains, all while having a lot of fun.
You could let them use basic clay/play dough tools (ie a plastic knife and roller) with this mat to cut out the shapes. If you are a teacher, this would be an awesome station to set up in your classroom for a holiday party or at any point during December.
