Back to School Teacher Gifts
When the kids head back to school after summer break, I love sending a little gift in for their teachers on the first day. During the preschool years when I dropped them off in a car line, I would usually send in a bouquet of fresh flowers in a mason jar.
Now that the kids are older and take the bus to school, I stick to small, unbreakable items that can survive the jostling of a bus ride! I plan to continue the back to school teacher gift tradition until the end of elementary school.

Propel Teacher Gift Idea
I have to confess: this gift idea came to me a little too easily. In one of her “get to know your teacher” fun facts, Landon’s teacher shared that her favorite drink is Propel Water. SOOOOOOO! Yep, I knew exactly what to put together for her!
I grabbed a few boxes of the Propel packets that you can add to water for a flavored drink. (These are found both online and at most grocery and big box stores.)
Follow the easy directions below to make your own version!
Propel Drink Tumbler Supplies
To make this teacher gift, gather the following supplies:
- Boxes of Propel packets (I used 3 boxes of 10 packets each, total of 30 packets)
- Drink tumbler
- Twine or ribbon
- Scissors
- Single hole puncher
- Our printable tag (I recommend printing the tags on white card stock.)

How to Make a Back to School Propel Teacher Gift
Follow the simple instructions below!
1. Print and cut out our gift tag. Have your kiddo sign it if you’d like.
2. Punch a single hole in the top of the tag.
3. Fill the drink tumbler with packets of Propel. I made sure that the Propel branding was visible all the way around the see-through tumbler.
4. Place the lid on the tumbler.
5. Tie the gift tag to the straw or top of the tumbler using twine or ribbon.
That’s it! One perfectly fabulous teacher gift is finished and ready to head to school.
