Picnic Teacher Gift

I love this fun teacher gift idea! Here’s the awesome thing about a picnic themed teacher gift: it has so many possibilities! First of all, it would be a great theme to use any time of year, but especially as the weather turns warm and school gets set to let out for summer break. Teacher Appreciation and last day of school are a great time for picnic themed gifts!

You can go as simple or as involved as you want with a picnic themed teacher gift. You can round up a couple picnic/bbq related items at the dollar store for a frugal gift idea. You could buy a picnic basket and fill it with snacks for a gift that costs a little more. Then of course, there’s always the gift card route. I enjoy using food/restaurant related gift cards for this theme, but definitely pick any gift card that you think the teacher would love!

For this example, I used a picnic patterned paper napkin and folded it up as I might for a party. Instead of sticking utensils in the folded napkin, I taped the gift card! I taped the side and bottom edges of the napkin just in case the gift card fell into the napkin, it would land in a pocket instead of dropping through to the ground.

You could use anything with the traditional picnic plaid pattern on it to attach your gift card and tag to – dish towel, napkin, potholder, etc.  Get your free printable tag here by entering your email at the prompt.  Check your inbox (might go to promotions tab if you have gmail). An email should arrive within minutes that contains the free printable link.

This file is a nice and easy PDF file.  There are (6) 3×3 inch images on the page.  Print as many copies as you need – I recommend printing them on white cardstock.  Note: these are for personal use only.

I punched a hole in the top corner of my picnic gift tag and used twine to tie it around the napkin.

The end result was very cute and definitely reminiscent of warmer weather!
