Seed Paper Valentine Cards
I kept going back and forth on what kind of Valentines to make for Lily’s pre-k class this year. Ultimately, I was trying to avoid making cards that included candy, because in past years she has come home with so much candy on Valentine’s Day, I didn’t want to add to the mountain.
Then last week on Facebook I saw my friend post a pic of the cards her and her daughter were working on. They were adorable and included a picture that her daughter had drawn which gave them the perfect personalized touch.
I ordered a pack of heart shaped seed paper on Saturday and could not believe when they arrived here in PA on MONDAY from California!
I asked Lily to draw a picture for these Valentines of her watering some flowers. She took the idea and ran with it, including heart-shaped flowers and clouds. I scanned the picture and edited in some text.
We printed her picture on yellow card stock in size 3.5×5″ and then glued it onto pink card stock. Lily signed each card and then wrote her classmates’ names on the back. We put ten seed paper hearts in each little bag and stapled them to the tops of each card.
ADORABLE!

What did you use for the plastic bags that you put the hearts in?
I used small, clear favor bags (like wilton treat bags) and cut them down to size!
