Bright someone’s day with some mail! Here are 10 different kid-friendly letter writing templates to help your kids craft some happy mail!
I don’t know about you, but my kids absolutely LOVE receiving mail. Any time they get something in the mail that is specifically addressed to them, they instantly yell in excitement and proceed to tear into the correspondence. Lately we have found ourselves at home for longer stretches than ever before. And while we are home for an extended period of time, the kids are really missing their friends from school.
When I suggested that they could write some letters to their classmates, they instantly became enthused and so I went to work designing some kid friendly letter templates.
This printable pack is in an easy to open PDF file and contains 10 different pages. You can pick and choose which pages/themes you’d like to print.
Here are the included themes:

I hope that you and your kids enjoy these printable templates! Striking up some good old fashioned correspondence by mail will do several things:
- Kids can practice handwriting skills.
- Kids can practice spelling/writing skills.
- PLUS! Kids can gain appreciation for the thought and effort that go into writing a letter to someone!
Tip: If your kids’ school publishes a school directory with student addresses each year, challenge your child to write to every kid in his/her class while they are on break from school. Chunk/break up the writing and have them write a couple letters each day.
