Leprechaun Escape Rope Licorice Snack

St. Patrick’s Day is a fun time to make a little leprechaun mischief! We found green licorice and made this fun Leprechaun Escape Rope Licorice Snack!

Leprechaun Escape Rope Snack

As St. Patrick’s Day rolls around each year, the leprechauns typically visit our house and play silly jokes and pranks.  Sometimes the kids have little parties at school and other times I simply enjoy making up fun snacks to give them!

When she was in Kindergarten, Lily had to design and build a leprechaun trap for school. Her and Bob worked on it all night and on St. Patrick’s Day we delivered it to school.  Her fellow classmates placed their traps around the classroom with the hopes of catching a leprechaun. The next day, they could not WAIT to get to school. But once they arrived, they found the entire room in disarray but sadly NO leprechauns caught in the traps.

This fun “Leprechaun Escape Rope” came to mind when I found a pack of green colored licorice at the dollar store. I saw the licorice and my thoughts immediately went back to that Kindergarten classroom full of homemade leprechaun traps.  Surely a mischievous leprechaun would appreciate having some escape rope on hand to get out of a trap!
