If you’re looking for an easy appetizer that works for game day, parties, or even a quick dinner, these Instant Pot Chicken Wings are about as simple as it gets!

The Instant Pot does most of the work, cooking the wings until they’re tender and juicy. Then a quick trip to the oven gives them a little extra texture before you toss them in your favorite buffalo sauce.
Serve them with celery, carrots, ranch, blue cheese, or whatever your wing-loving crew prefers!
Easy Instant Pot Wings
Chicken wings can sometimes feel like more work than they’re worth, especially when you’re cooking a big batch. Using the Instant Pot makes the process incredibly hands-off.
You only need a few basic ingredients, and there’s no deep frying involved. The wings cook under pressure first, then finish in the oven.
These would be great for:
- Football Sundays
- Super Bowl parties
- Tailgating
- Birthday parties
- Holiday appetizers
- Easy weeknight dinners
- Anytime you’re craving wings!

What Sauce Should You Use?
Buffalo sauce is the classic choice here, but one of the nice things about making wings at home is that everyone can customize their own.
If you’re feeding people with different tastes, you could even divide the finished wings into a couple of bowls and toss each batch in a different sauce.
Buffalo, barbecue, garlic parmesan, honey barbecue, or a sweet-and-spicy sauce would all be delicious options.

What to Serve With Chicken Wings
For that classic wing-night setup, add some celery sticks and baby carrots to the platter along with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
If you’re serving these wings for dinner instead of an appetizer, pair them with fries, potato wedges, mac and cheese, coleslaw, or a simple salad.
And if you’re putting together a game day spread, wings fit right in alongside nachos, dips, sliders, and other finger foods.
A Great Game Day Instant Pot Recipe
I especially love recipes like this for football season because the Instant Pot keeps things relatively simple when you’re trying to make several foods at once.
You can get the wings pressure cooking while you prep the rest of your snacks, then finish them in the oven shortly before serving.
Set out plenty of napkins and dipping sauce and watch them disappear!
