(Perfect for Back-to-School or Teacher Appreciation!)
Looking for a sweet and creative way to celebrate the start of a new school year? These Pencil Treat Bags are the cutest little favors ever! Whether you’re sending them in with your kids for the first day of school, gifting them to teachers and staff, or handing them out at a back-to-school night, these DIY bags are guaranteed to be a big hit!

Not only do they look like giant pencils, but they’re also filled with s’mores ingredients – so they’re fun AND tasty!
Supplies You’ll Need
(Makes 6 treat bags, about 10–15 minutes to assemble)
- 6 disposable piping bags (Amazon and Walmart both sell blank ones)
- 6 mini rubber bands
- 6 pieces of ribbon, cut to about 21 inches each
- 1.5 teaspoons chocolate chips
- ¼ cup mini marshmallows
- 15 graham crackers
- 10.8 oz bag Hershey’s Kisses
- 18 pink marshmallows

Step-by-Step Instructions
- Add the pencil “point”
Start by dropping ¼ teaspoon of chocolate chips (about 4 chips) into the piping bag. Give the bag a little shake so they slide down to the tip of the bag.
- Add the pencil “wood”
Pour in about 2 teaspoons of mini marshmallows. This will look like the light wooden part of the pencil.
- Add the pencil “body”
Break each graham cracker into 4 small pieces. Place 9–10 pieces into each bag. (Tip: if they’re not breaking evenly, use a serrated knife and gently saw them apart.) Stack a few in first, then tuck the rest around the sides.
- Add the “metal ferrule”
Drop in about 10 Hershey’s Kisses on top of the graham crackers. The silver wrappers look just like the shiny metal part of a real pencil!
- Add the pencil “eraser”
Top each bag with 3 pink marshmallows – so cute, right?
- Seal the bag
Twist the bag closed and secure it with a mini rubber band.
- Add a finishing touch
Tie a ribbon around each bag for a polished, gift-worthy look.
