The temperatures have been sizzling lately here in PA! This past week we have been trying out the H2OGo! Color Wave Pool by Bestway. We have an above ground pool in the backyard, but we always keep a kiddie-sized pool on hand for the days when we want to hang out on the patio (or when it’s early in the season and the big pool isn’t open yet).
Check out our in-depth review of the Color Wave Pool in this video:
We were excited to set this pool up and cool off during the 90+ degree days last week and over the weekend. I had two sweaty little beasts who were just chomping at the bit to give it a whirl!
I found the pool to be very easy to set up. I set this pool up by myself in less than 10 minutes. In the box we found the pool, a repair patch in case of a rip and an instruction sheet.
I set the pool up on our patio and though the instructions didn’t say I had to, I placed a thin blanket between the patio pavers and the pool to further reduce the risk of cutting the plastic on a small stone, etc.
I used a small air pump to blow up the two inflatable chambers. Once the pool was sitting where I wanted it, I turned on the hose and let it fill. I only filled our pool a few inches – just enough for the kids to splash around. We have a well and are always super-conservative when it comes to water usage.
The kids had a BLAST!! The pool was PLENTY big enough for both of them and would have comfortably fit 2-3 more small kids. Total length is 9 feet long.
Cons: We didn’t find any. The pool worked as promised. No complaints from myself or the kiddos. Since it’s a larger inflatable pool, it will take a bit of time to fill all the way up. We only filled it a few inches and turned the hose off after 10-15 minutes of fill time.
Make sure you watch the video I embedded above and check out the very end. I did a time lapse vid of the colorful LED lights that you can turn on at night! This pool requires 4 “C” batteries (not included) for the lights to work. They turn on and off at the press of a button and cycle through the bright colors!
