S.T.E.M. – it’s all the rage right now and with good reason!  Standing for Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics education, the teacher and mom in me is thrilled to see this latest push in learning spread far and wide.  Lily LOVES math and science and her confidence in both areas is incredible.  I hated both of those subjects miserably in school because they confused me and no one really ever took the time to teach me the basic concepts.  I hope that Lily continues to love S.T.E.M. activities and lessons.

Make sure you watch the video below – it will walk you through all three of these simple science experiments that you can recreate with your own kids using common household items.

In experiment #1 you can turn a penny GREEN!

In experiment #2 you’ll make a glitter tornado!  Oooooo!  Ahhhhhh!!

In experiment #3 you can go fishing for ice cubes!  Can you catch any on your string?
