Family Fun at Hershey Gardens
Hershey Gardens is a wonderful place to explore with the kids! We enjoyed the gardens and the butterfly atrium on our last visit to Hershey, PA.
During our most recent trip to Hershey, PA in June we had a lot of time to enjoy Hersheypark (especially the water fun at The Boardwalk) when the weather got especially hot. After ample time riding rides and tasting yummy sweets, we spent the night over at Hershey Lodge. When we checked in to the Lodge, we received some free tickets to check out the Hershey Story Museum and also the Hershey Gardens. I was lucky enough to get a quick visit to the Gardens during my Sweet Welcome media weekend in Hershey a couple years ago. But Bob and the kids had not had the chance to check it out, so we decided to stop before heading home.
Hershey Gardens is Very Kid Friendly!
Part of what makes Hershey Gardens such a great stop with the whole family is that it is INCREDIBLY kid friendly! When you first enter the building, you are greeted by the incredible butterfly themed skylight above. Next you can take a walk through the Butterfly Atrium which is AWESOME!
We visited the Gardens at the end of peak rose season! BEAUTIFUL roses as far as the eye could see! The kids were so impressed by all of the blooms and by how many different colors and varieties were growing.
As you walk out of the main building if you turn right and walk past the rose gardens, you will see a sign for the Children’s Garden. Take your kids for a walk through this perfectly landscaped space, designed especially for the Garden’s youngest visitors!
