If your elf has access to the beach, or even a sand box or a bit of kinetic sand, this seashell hunting scene would be a fun one to make!
Yes, yes, we know – our elf had WAY too much fun at the beach this year!
Here is a really fun scene that your elf can recreate. If you don’t happen to live next to the beach, a sandbox or even a container with some kinetic sand will be a great substitute.
Make sure you take few minutes to check out our massive collection of elf on the shelf ideas. We have been sharing elf ideas for more than 10 years!!
Seashell Hunting Elf Supplies
- Sand
- Mini Seashells
- Optional – ladder and shovel props (our elf used Playmobil pieces)
Your elf will need to dig a pit in the sand. It can be any depth. At the bottom of the pit, place an assortment of small seashells.
Our elf posed at the top of the pit that he dug, holding some of his very favorite shells.
If seashells aren’t your thing, you could sub them for any kind of treasure that your elf might like to find! Money? Candy? Some other small loot? Up to you and your elf!
I hope you have a lot of fun with this idea! Make sure you check out our always-growing collection of Christmas content.
If you end up recreating this scene, I’d love to hear how it went! If you post a picture on social media, feel free to tag me – I’d love to see it in action!
