Easy S’mores Party Favor Idea

This year something amazing happened: I was able to talk my kids into having a joint birthday party. It turns out, I didn’t have to do much selling to get them to agree. They both love ice skating and their birthdays are just two weeks apart from each other. I suggested a joint birthday party at the local ice rink and they both readily agreed.
We started to think about possible party themes and kept coming back to cold temperatures and hot chocolate. Then we thought about camping and campfires and before long, we decided on a s’mores theme. Last year we threw a party for Bob’s 40th birthday and set up a DIY s’mores bar where guests were able to actually roast their own marshmallows and choose from a variety of chocolate treats and crackers/cookies to build their s’mores. That was pretty awesome!
For the kids’ party this year, we weren’t able to have any open flames at the ice rink, LOL, so we settled for a s’mores mix instead.
S’mores Party Favor Ingredients and Material
Snack Sized Hershey Bars (we used 2 per guest)
Malt-O-Meal S’mores Cereal
Clear Treat Bags
Brown and White Twine

S’mores Treats
Fill each clear treat bag with s’mores mix and tie the bag with a piece of twine.
Tape 2 snack sized Hershey bars together in a “criss cross” shape.
Tie the taped chocolate bars to the treat bag.
Print our s’mores party favor tags on white card stock and punch a hole in the top left corner of each tag.
Tie a tag to each favor bag with the twine.
Our party was a success and everyone loved the favors. I loved how easy they were to assemble and how budget-friendly the materials were. You could always skip the s’mores mix cereal and instead put together a treat bag with marshmallows, graham crackers and Hershey Bars. Whatever style s’mores treat you want to make, these tags will work great!
