I’m not sure ANY Easter treats look as festive as these delicious, loaded-with-chocolate-y goodness dessert bars!! Make up a batch of these easy Peeps Cookie Bars and listen to the crowd go wild for them!
What can we say? We just can’t get enough of Peeps marshmallow treats around here! This iconic Easter treat is sweet and colorful and boy, are they fun to incorporate into fun edible creations! My family LOVES ooey gooey chocolate chip bars and this dessert recipe takes those traditional bars to the next level. Peeps and M&Ms are added for a sweet and color-popping look!

Easter Peeps and M&Ms Cookie Bars
Easter Peeps and M&Ms Cookie Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup light brown sugar packed
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 1 egg yolk room temperature
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 2/3 c all purpose flour
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 c chocolate chips
- 1 1/4 c Easter colored M&Ms candies
- 12 Peeps Bunnies
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Prepare pan (we used a 9x13 inch pan) by spraying it with a non-stick baking spray.
- Place butter in a microwave safe bowl. Cook until melted (approx 30 seconds).
- Add butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar to a large mixing bowl.
- Stir until combined.
- Allow mixture to cool for 2-3 minutes.
- Add eggs, egg yolk and vanilla extract to the bowl.
- Stir until combined.
- Whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl.
- Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture.
- Stir until combined.
- Add chocolate chips and M&M's to the mixture.
- Stir until combined.
- Pour the mixture in an even layer into the pan you prepared.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove pan from the oven and carefully place the Peeps on top of the cookie bars.
- Place pan back in the oven for 5-10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 15-20 minutes.
- Cut into bars and enjoy immediately or store in an air-tight food storage container for up to 1 week.
Combine classic Easter colored candies (M&Ms and Peeps) to get these awesome looking cookie bars!
You can enjoy your bars immediately after they cool, or they can be stored for up to a week in a food-safe container.
