Easy Hummus Veggie Garden Appetizer
Many years ago, just as this little website called Pinterest was emerging onto the social media scene, I thought it would be a great idea to start another blog. My thought process was to leave Mama Cheaps with “just the deals” and to launch another blog with “all the other stuff.” Well, if you have followed my blog or social accounts for any length of time, you know that my vision did not quite come to fruition. This site was left void of any personality and I hated the direction it was heading. After a couple years, I ended up bringing ALL of my new content back to dear old MC and here we are.
So, as you might imagine, that old site still has some great content on it! Today’s post is just that – an ancient one that I resurrected from the old site and am giving a new shot over here!
Check out this Easy Hummus Veggie Garden Appetizer that we put together for the first time a few years ago. It was a great appetizer for Easter and would work well with just about any menu you wanted to serve!
Hummus Veggie Garden Ingredients
Fresh veggies like carrots, broccoli, celery (rinsed)
How to make hummus veggie garden
1. Spread hummus in a layer across the bottom of your serving dish.
2. Place veggies in straight rows, mimicking a garden.
3. Make a “fence” perimeter around the veggies with your pretzels.
4. I usually place my serving dish on a larger plate or platter. Then I put the rest of the veggies around the garden, on the plate. This is such an easy dish and looks so fun on your table. You can cut the prep time significantly by using store bought hummus and veggies that have already been washed and sliced.
