Easy Candy Corn Fudge Dessert Idea

I have written a bunch of posts over the years that include candy corn. Some were recipes and others used the candy corn candies as seasonal decor. One conclusion that I have made? People seem to either love or hate relationship with candy corn. I myself tend to enjoy a few pieces in early fall and then I’m good for another year. LOL I do, however, LOVE the bright and vivid colors in candy corn and I love using the candy to decorate.  Remember these fun candy corn jack o’lantern centerpieces I made?  I always get a lot of compliments on them!

Candy Corn themed food is a great fall treat!

So this easy candy corn fudge is an awesome treat idea for a couple of reasons.

  • It looks like candy corn with the same color layers – super festive!
  • It tastes yummy!
  • It does NOT actually contain candy corns – which is good because not everyone enjoys them.  You can still garnish the plate with candy corn though!

How to Make Candy Corn Fudge

This is so easy to make!

1. First, grease the bottom of a loaf pan or a small baking pan (8″x 8″ or similar).

2. Place each color of candy in a microwave safe bowl.

3. Melt the white candy first, heating at 15 second intervals, stirring between each interval. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk (amount can vary by taste).  The more milk you use, the softer the final texture will be.

4. Pour the white candy/milk mixture into the greased pan. Use an icing spatula or the back of a spoon to smooth the layer. Place the pan in the fridge until this layer is firm to the touch.

5. Repeat all steps (heating to melt, adding condensed milk, adding to previous layer, chilling in fridge). Layer order is just like a piece of candy corn: white, then orange, then yellow.

6. After adding the yellow (top) layer, refrigerate for 3 hours (or overnight).

7. Cut into squares before serving and garnish plate with candy corn candies if desired.
