Mason Jar Utensil Holders
Sometimes, less is more. When it comes to party decorating, sometimes the most simple ideas end up being my favorites. I almost always put mason jars out on my counter to hold utensils when we have people over. I have never attempted to spruce the jars up in any way. I typically just stick the plastic ware in the jar and that’s it.
Today we were at Dollar Tree and I was picking up odds and ends for our 4th of July picnic. My initial plan was to find red, white and blue bandannas to tuck at the bottom of the jars for visual appeal. I couldn’t find bandannas but did come across some festive patriotic garland.
We picked up a pack and rolled up a couple feet to tuck inside each (quart sized) mason jar.
We have clear cutlery from BJ’s which looks great in the jars. I love the finished look – simple but colorful!
