We have already kicked off the unofficial start of Summer with several BBQs and there are a whole bunch more on the horizon! Last night Lily and I were playing around with glow sticks after the sun went down. We put one in a bottle of water and she had a blast carrying it all over the yard. Bonus – it made for a great visual and I was able to spot her instantly as she roamed.
This DIY really could not be easier. All you need is a glow stick (the brighter the better) and a water bottle.
Fill the bottle up with water.
Crack a glow stick to make it glow and drop it in the bottle. Replace the bottle lid (tightly!) While it’s not going to rival your LED lantern for brightness, it puts out a small amount of light that kids will have fun with!
More Summer fun you might enjoy…
