Going on a Mickey Ship? Grab our free printable Disney Cruise Packing List to make sure that you have everything you need on board. From Mickey Ears to costumes to Dramamine, this list has you covered!
Packing for a Disney Cruise is NO joke.
Don’t listen to anyone who tries to tell you otherwise. In fact, we tend to pack so much for our Disney Cruises, that last year I felt like I was forgetting an entire bag as we left for our Royal Caribbean Cruise. The reason that Disney Cruises take up so many of my suitcases is that most DCL cruisers are joiners. I’m not kidding.
From pirate night to character meet and greets to gift exchanges, there are so many opportunities for fun on board a Disney ship and many require props and supplies. (During our most recent cruise, fellow guests had about 4 different gift exchanges going on – Fish Extenders, ornaments, magnets and candy! Obviously you could pick and choose which to participate in, but you could easily fill 2 or 3 suitcases full of STUFF just for one sailing. (And I did!)
Make sure you check out the post that I wrote on what to pack in your cruise ship carry on bag. That is a great post for packing a well-supplied carry-on, which is the only bag you will have on board with you until your checked luggage is delivered to your cabin later. I have included the carry-on must-haves in my ultimate packing list.
Plenty of Disney Cruise Packing Experience Contributed to this List
To date we have go on about a dozen cruises, with 4 of those being on Disney Cruise Lines. We have cruised with Disney with a baby, toddler, preschool aged and elementary aged kid at any given time. We have been on 3-night, 5-night and 7-night sailings and we have sailed out of southern (Florida) ports and northeastern (NYC) ports on Disney Cruises.
Many suitcases have been packed over our 4 Disney Cruises and we have definitely learned what items are essential and what things you can leave at home.

Interactive Printable PDF
Here’s a cool thing – you can grab this printable file and yes, print as many copies as you need. It is 4 pages long and there are spaces on 3 of the pages to write in your own notes, things to pack or remember before you leave, etc. If you open the PDF on your computer or phone, you will find interactive links that you can follow to corresponding posts on my site.
For example, under the section for “what to pack for Pirate Night,” you will see a link that you can follow to my big long post on tips for Pirate Night. There are several links like that throughout this printable. I hope you find them to be helpful!
