The movie Elf, starring Will Ferrell, is no doubt one of the most iconic Christmas movies of all time. I still remember the year that the movie came out, and pre-kid Bob and Devon went to see it in the theater on Thanksgiving night. There are many scenes in this movie that stand out as super memorable. We loved the scene when Will’s character topped his spaghetti with mountains of syrup and other sugar-laden treats. When he yells, “You sit on a throne of lies!” at the department store Santa, we howled with laughter.

But the scene where he utters the phrase “I’m a cotton headed ninny muggins” simply sealed the deal for us. This movie is one of our very favorite holiday movies.
