Looking for an easy Springtime treat that looks as sweet as it tastes? Give these Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispies Treats Bird Nests a try! We dipped Rice Krispies Treats in chocolate and topped them with sprinkles and Cadbury Mini Eggs. Yum!
Oh! I love it when I set out to make a treat and the end result is even cuter than what I had imagined! These Spring/Easter themed bird nest treats are as delicious as they are fun. Kids can definitely help to make these and the process is very simple.
Excited to share this one and to add it to our Easter content collection.
Hack: I actually used pre-packaged Rice Krispies Treats for this snack! While I absolutely love my own homemade Krispies treats, using the pre-packaged version is SUCH a huge timesaver. So for that reason alone, I recommend using them for this dessert.

Check out how easy it is to whip up these cute treats!
Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispies Treats Bird Nests
Equipment
- muffin tin
Ingredients
- 12 Rice Krispies Treats
- 1/2 c brown melting chocolate
- Cadbury Mini Eggs 2-3 eggs per treat
- Seasonal Sprinkles
Instructions
- I used a muffin tin to mold the Rice Krispies Treats into a circle shape.
- Pop the treat out of the muffin tin and place it on your workspace. If the treat sticks to the tin, use a butter knife to gently pry it out.
- Repeat this step with all of your Rice Krispies Treats.
- Melt your chocolate melts in a dish according to the package instructions. I typically melt them at 30 second intervals in the microwave, stirring in between intervals.
- Dip one side of each treat into the chocolate, coating the side completely.
- Continue with all treats.
- Sprinkle each treat with your seasonal sprinkles. At this point I put all of my treats on a plate and stuck them in the fridge for about 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
- When ready to serve, remove treats from the refrigerator.
- I placed some candy "grass" on the plate and then added the Krispies treats. Final step - add 2-3 Cadbury Mini Eggs on top of each one!
Let me know if you give these treats a try and how they work out for you!
