I am excited to share this fun gift idea for your New Year’s gifting! Just because you want to give a small gift to friends or co-workers doesn’t mean it can’t be creative and awesome looking! Check out our spin on a fun way to “wrap up” these spirited presents.
It’s not every day that I have a printable become so popular, that I have to make a complimentary version. But today is the day. A couple of years ago, Bob was looking for a funny, creative idea for office gifts to give his co-workers. He didn’t want to break the bank, and also wanted to give something practical that they might actual use. We came up with these Merry Christmas Alcohol Shot Gifts. I made up the tags and we marveled at how cute and festive they were.
To date, those Christmas tags have been downloaded THOUSANDS of times. And every once in awhile, a reader would leave a comment asking for a Happy New Year version. This year I finally made the time to make that happen!
This gift is SO easy to put together and is pretty much guaranteed to get smiles from the recipients! Check out our easy tutorial for the step-by-step process and get our free printable gift tags (see below) for the perfect finishing touch!

How to Assemble
This is one gift idea that goes together in no time at all. Simply roll up a piece of tape and stick it to the bottom of each bottle. You might need to make it a little thicker than the usual tape roll to ensure that it comes in contact with the bottom of the cup.
Plant each bottle straight down into a plastic cup. Aren’t these cups the cutest? You can grab them online and I have also picked up the smaller packs at the Dollar Tree.
I printed our tags on white cardstock. Then I used a single hole punch to put a hole in the top of each tag.
Use a piece of twine or ribbon to tie a tag around the neck of each bottle. Don’t forget to sign your name on the back of the tag before you affix it to a bottle!
I just love the finished gift! These are very easy to assemble and really have a fun look. Cheers!
