While back to school teacher gifts are, of course, not something everyone does, I usually send my kiddos in with some small cheery gift. “Cheap and cheerful” is always my mantra and other years we have given flowers in an ABC vase, candy in a crayon jar, school supplies in a gift bag, etc.
This year I wanted to come up with a gift along those lines, but something different that I haven’t done before. I picked up a mason jar mug (with handle) and used my Silhouette machine to cut an apple out of vinyl.
Now that I had my cute teacher-themed mug, I put some paper shred inside the mug. I arranged 12 pencils amongst the shred (picked up for pennies during those great school supply sales). I tied a cute ribbon around the top of the mug and made up a tag which I will have Lily sign her name too.
Download this tag for free right here (or click on the image below).
Save this high res print by right-clicking on the image below and choose save-as. This print has been formatted to look best as a wallet-sized image.
Punch a hold in the top corner of your tag and you have a totally cute, easy, frugal gift that will look nice on the teacher’s desk!
