Here I am! Checking in from day 2 of our road trip adventure! We had a fantastic day today, just exploring the sites, and enjoying time together as a family.

Our first stop was to the historic Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse. Sitting at the point where the Genesee River meets Lake Ontario, it is a beautiful structure!

After that we set out for the beach! We were going to make a quick stop to see the lake and then head to our next attraction. As we pulled into the parking lot, we checked the clock to see that lunch time was drawing closer. We made a snap decision to enjoy an impromptu picnic on the beach!

It was just beautiful!

We ate our yummy GoPicnic meals and just took in the views…

Next we decided to take a tour of the George Eastman (founder of Kodak) House. SO COOL! Amazing house, and so much history!

We ended up back at our fabulous Country Inns and Suites for a few hours so that Lily Bean (and Biker Bob!) could take naps. We decided that one of our favorite things about this hotel is the coffee that’s always available! There’s hot water as well, with hot chocolate and tea. It’s the perfect pick-me-up and so nice to know that it’s always there! (We of course also enjoyed a couple of freshly baked cookies that were waiting in the lobby!)

We headed out to TGI Friday’s for dinner… it was a quick walk across the parking lot. We used our B1G1 Entree Free voucher from the hotel and had a great dinner with an appetizer for $27 including tip. Back at the hotel, we were able to relax in our comfy accommodations! (And Lily Bean decide to raid our snack bag!)

Biker Bob and I are just finishing up a movie- from the free DVD collection available at the front desk- and then it’s off to bed! Stay tuned for tomorrow’s recap! :)
