Unboxing 5 Surprise Toys from Zuru
What’s better than opening a blind bag or egg with a single surprise toy? Opening up FIVE different prize compartments to reveal FIVE surprise toys! See what we thought of 5 Surprise toys from Zuru.
One of the hottest trends in the toy industry continues to be the excitement and anticipation of opening up a surprise bag or compartment. When my kids first started asking for these toys, I have to admit, I didn’t really understand the attraction. Then they started watching YouTube videos of other kids unboxing random toys. Still, I shook my head.
But as I watched this trend grow more and more popular, the lightbulb went off for me. I remembered the thrill of getting a pack of baseball cards, ripping it open to chew the stale gum while looking to see if I got any of my favorite players. How about the prize inside a box of cereal? Or in a kids’ meal at the fast food joint? The more and more I thought about it, the more it totally made sense: mystery toys are SO MUCH SUPER FUN!!
So when we had the chance to check out one of the newest “surprise” toys on the market, of course we jumped at the opportunity. Zuru Toys has released pink and blue versions of 5 Surprise. These capsules open to reveal 5 sealed segments, each of which is hiding 5 fun toys!
Priced at just $4.99 each, these toys are a fun and easy impulse purchase that is sure to entertain and excite the kids! We picked up a few 5 Surprise capsules this week at Walmart to celebrate the end of the school year and our family’s official start to summer. The kids were SO excited to get opening!!
See our unboxing video (or, um, let your kids watch!):
We bought 2 pink and 2 blue 5 Surprise capsules and each kid opened one of each. Every capsule comes with 5 different toys and a collector’s guide. These toys are fun to collect and with 150 different toys in both pink and blue capsules, there are 300 different toy possibilities!
The kids had a blast opening these 5 Surprise capsules and ended up with a whole pile of loot. 5 Surprises would make great party favors!
