Easy 4th of July Dessert
Sometimes the simplest of treats are the most enjoyed. I love desserts that tie in with a particular holiday and even better if they only take a few minutes to make. Check out the patriotic dessert we made up for the 4th of July!
Today I’m excited to add this colorful and tasty treat to our ever-growing collection of 4th of July ideas. Red, white and blue were a key theme for this dessert and you can recreate it in just minutes. This ice cream sandwich hack is easy enough that the kids can help you make them up… and the end result is delicious enough to guarantee no leftovers!
Ingredients for Red, White and Blue Ice Cream Sandwiches
Ice Cream Sandwiches (I used mini sandwiches!)
Red Sprinkles
Blue Sprinkles
I also love these red, white and blue star sprinkles!
How to make this easy 4th of July dessert
Set a platter or tupperware container aside to hold the finished treats.
Dump some red and blue sprinkles on a paper plate and mix them together.
Unwrap sandwiches and dip each side in the sprinkles until every side is coated.
You can stack the decorated sandwiches on top of each other – though you might want to place a piece of aluminum foil or wax paper between layers to prevent the cookie tops and bottoms from sticking.
Easy! Delicious! Pretty!
More fun you might enjoy…
