DIY Beach Jar with Solar Hula Dancer
Check out this cute and easy craft that we put together with supplies from the dollar store! The hula dancer is solar and really dances when you place it in sunlight!
We had a hint of summer weather yesterday and the warm sun was all the inspiration I needed to get my craft on and come up with a cute decoration for our kitchen. If you are putting together a summer party, for example a pool party or a 4th of July party, these would make a great centerpiece on each table! Even better – I used supplies from the dollar store to assemble this craft! I already had the mason jar at home, but the dollar store has all sorts of great clear glass jars and bowls that would work great.

How to make a Beach Jar:
The nice thing about this craft is how easy it is to make. It’s really all up to your personal preference. The only thing that matters is that you make sure to keep the small solar panel in the back of the hula dancer clear, allowing the sun to do its thing.
I started out by placing the hula dancer in the jar and then carefully poured sand around the base. Once I had my desired amount of sand, I wiped off the solar panel to make sure it was free of sand.
Then I added some shells and sat her in the sun!
