DIY Playground Car Kit
Spring has sprung and with that, the warmer weather is hopefully right around the corner. Check out how easy it is to put together a Playground Car Kit, so you’ll always be ready for an impromptu stop at the neighborhood playground.
Chances are probably pretty good that your kiddos love to stop at the playground for some time to burn off all that extra energy. My kids love spending time on any playground and it never fails, 90% of our playground visits are completely unplanned. I almost always find myself pulling into the playground after a rain shower (wet equipment) or wishing that I had stopped home for sunscreen even though home was not on the way to the park. Last year I put together a dollar store first aid kit and also an Everything Box for my car. Both have proven their worth (and the space they take up in my car) over the last 12 months as I have used many items from each on multiple occasions! This Playground Car Kit only has a few essential items, but you’ll be glad to have them on hand!
I rounded up most of the supplies for our playground car kit at the dollar store. The other items I already had at home and tossed into the box. For the container, I used a small clear Sterilite storage box. I like the clear totes the best because I can see what’s inside them with a simple glance.
Supplies for Playground Car Kit:
Sunglasses (for the kiddo)
Tablecloth (for impromptu snack or lunch picnics on dirty picnic tables)
Microfiber Cloth (for drying off wet playground equipment)
First Aid Kit
Here’s how the box looked with everything inside it:
After putting this box together, it went right into my car! It will live in the back of the car, ready and waiting for one of our many warm weather last-minute-decision park visits!
One note – remember to go through your kit from time to time at home. Swap out almost-empty or almost-expired sunscreen and first aid supplies.
