Pick up some glow sticks at your local dollar store and combine them with our free printable tags to make these awesome GLOW Stick Valentines! Glow sticks make a great non-candy Valentine.

Valentine’s Day is coming and I have another great Valentine idea for you!  We are always picking up packs of glow sticks at the dollar store because they are perfect for summer parties and bbqs, plus we always take glow sticks to Disney. Glow sticks also happen to be a great non-candy Valentine to give out to kids.

2. Use scissors or an Xacto knife to cut a small slit in the top and bottom of each tag. Have your child sign his/her name on front or back of each tag.

3. Slide one glow stick through the slits on each tag.

What kind of Valentines do your kids typically exchange in school? I have definitely seen a few trends since Lily first started school about six years ago. Some years the kids exchange what seems like ALL candy Valentines and then other years a bunch of non-candy items are exchanged. I tend to try to give non-candy Valentines, but it’s not a dead set rule. What are some of your favorite Valentines that you have seen over the years?
