Dr. Seuss themed celebrations take place in schools across the country every year on March 2nd (Dr. Seuss’s birthday).  The week that includes March 2nd has been dubbed “Read Across America Week” by the NEA and many schools take part in Seuss-tastic activities in an effort to promote literacy.

I have put together a round up with 25 fun activities and snack ideas that would tie in wonderfully with a Dr. Seuss themed lesson or party.

Last year we made Truffula Tree Cupcakes Inspired by Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax!

And look what I did to Lily’s hair a couple years ago!  I mimicked Cindy Lou Who’s hair from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and placed a tall tupperware container on her head, pulling up her hair around it into a super high ponytail.  Hilarious!
