Apple Picking / Pick Your Own Apples Bucks County

It wasn’t until I had a kid of my own that I went apple picking for the very first time.  I had always thought visiting a local apple orchard to round up some apples would be a great way to spend a day with family.  I had no idea that there are so many farms in the Bucks County, PA area that offer Pick-Your-Own Apples!  Sure, there are farmer’s markets and farm stands in almost every town around here that SELL local apples, but it is a lot of fun to pick your apples off of the tree yourself!

I rounded up some farms in the Bucks County, PA region that offer Pick-Your-Own apples during summer/fall months.  You will want to check with each farm individually (many update their Facebook pages pretty often) with what’s available before you go.  Like anything else that depends on Mother Nature, crops and picking availability will vary by season.

Shady Brook Farm (Located at 931 Stony Hill Road Yardley, PA 19067)

Snipes Farm and Education Center (Located at 890 W. Bridge Street Morrisville, PA 19067)

Solebury Orchards (Located at 3325 Creamery Road, New Hope, PA  18938)

Solly Farm (Located at 707 Almshouse RoadIvyland, PA 18974)

Styer Orchard (Located at 97 Styer Lane, Langhorne, PA 19047)

Tabora Farm and Orchard (Located at 1104 Upper Stump Rd, Chalfont, PA 18914)

The Market at DelVal (Located at 2100 Lower State Rd. Doylestown, PA 18901)

Not in Bucks Co but worth mentioning –

Bechdolt Orchard (Located at 2209 Leithsville Rd., Hellertown, PA 18055 in Northampton County)

Linvilla Orchards (Located at 598 Linvill Rd Media, PA 19063 in Delaware County)

Weaver’s Orchard (Located at 40 Fruit Lane Morgantown, PA 19543 in Berks County)

One of my very favorite things to do with ALL THOSE APPLES?  Slow Cooker Applesauce I cook it up in a big batch and freeze it in smaller containers.  We enjoy fresh homemade applesauce all winter long.
