2011 Regal Cinemas Summer Movie Express ($1 Movies!)

regal summer movie program

I am so happy to see this discount movie program back for another summer season!

The 2011 Regal Cinemas Summer Movie Express information has been posted:

Moviegoers of all ages can climb aboard to enjoy a great selection of films. During this 9-week festival, select Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres will offer selected G or PG rated movies for only $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.

Find a participating theatre by you here.

Thanks, Montgomery County Moms.

Love this idea! Thanks a lot!!! 3 kids at the movies gets awfully expensive!!

  • Marie

I’ve used this in the past but this year there are NO theaters ANYWHERE near me! I’m really going to miss this… :(

  • Kim

Shoot, none in my area either. Maybe they will add more theaters?

    • I’m not sure – that would be nice!

  • Please search by state and not zip code to find a theater near you.

  • Jacki

Call your local theater. Mine is not listed, because it’s not offering 1 dollar movies- here they’re free! Call and ask the manager.

    • WOW – that’s awesome!! I know that it has been free in years past… great advice to call – thanks! :)

  • kmill

If you live in the San Antonio and Austin area, Santikos and Alamo Drafthouse offer free movies. The only difference being, the selection is smaller.

  • Thanks for posting this!!! I’m hoping to take my 3 year old this summer!

  • IndyMom

We’ve done these in the past but they were FREE. Near us the Regal has $1 movies, there is a Great Escape theater with free movies Mon-Fri, and a Goodrich theater that is also doing $1 movies for the summer. Check out all the cinemas around you and I’m sure you’ll find a good deal.

    • These were free for us last year as well- this year they are $1. I think some areas are still offering them for free!

  • marie

when did they start charging they were free last summer?

    • Looks like the charge is new this year – though some are still offering them for free. Best bet is to call your local theatre and see how they are handling the promotion.

  • kim

They always were free in the past. I wonder if the charge could be due to a lot of summer camps taking advantage of it and leaving few seats left for families. This happened a lot in my area.

    • I’ll bet you’re right… and in that case, I am happy to pay $1 to be able to find a seat.

  • laura

hey how do you find out what movies are playing

    • Follow the link to Regal’s website – they have a list of movies on there! :)

  • free summer movie

Do we still have free movie for children in this summer?

  • JC

Went on a Tuesday, only to read a sign that says they will be doing this on Wed & Th. Will have to try again next week. Thanks!

    • Some locations must have their own schedules – the Regal by us is T and Th.

  • Joelle Gibson

Love this deal! Just took my kids today and they loved it! Thanks so much for posting!

  • yayo
