“Our Kid is the Reason You Drink” Teacher Wine Gift Idea + FREE Printable Tag

Teacher Wine Gift Tag

Wine. Nectar of the gods. Soother of the stress. Adult grape juice. Wine is always a popular gift idea and here’s a way to put a really humorous touch on yours. Now of course, you need to know your gift recipient before you just toss a bottle of wine at them. Do they even like wine? If they like wine, what kind of wine do they like? Are you allowed to gift them wine (might be against school policy to bring in alcohol, even for gifts).

Now assuming that you have the triple green light – wine gifts are permitted, your recipient likes wine and you know what kind they prefer, here’s a super simple gift idea!

Our Kid is the Reason You Drink Wine Gift

Assembly only takes a couple of minutes:

1. Open the tag that I designed here.  Right click and “save as” on your hard drive.  Don’t forget where you saved it!

2. Print the file on white card stock.  This file is formatted to look best as a 3-4 inch long tag.

3.  Sign the tag (or have your kiddo sign it).

4. Use twine or ribbon to affix the tag to your wine bottle.

Another option – pick up mini wine bottles and make a gift basket with them. Tie this tag to the basket.  I made up gift baskets for Landon’s preschool teachers this year.  I filled each tote with 4 mini bottles of wine.  I stuck a Target gift card in there too and also made each teacher a personalized wine glass with my trusty Silhouette.

You’re Scent-Sational Gift Idea + FREE Printable Tag

Candle Teacher Gift

Allow me to present another gift that headed to school with Lily this morning.  Straight out of the craft room were some cute holiday-themed candles for the school secretaries.  I found these great holiday colored candles during Kohl’s Black Friday sales. I was able to get the labels off of them with rubbing alcohol and then cut the words “Merry and Bright” on gold vinyl using my Silhouette (font: Sugar Plums).

I love how they turned out!

Next I whipped up this “You’re Scent-sational” gift tag which would work great with any yummy scented gift you might like to give – candles, soap, lotion, etc.

That was easy!

Thanks for Keeping Me on TARGET – FREE Printable Gift Card Holder

Target Gift Card Printable Card Holder

Just in time for another round of teacher, coach, bus driver, etc gifting, I have a new FREE printable for you!  Gift cards are pretty much the easiest gift to give and here’s a way to make yours look super cute.  Several of the kids’ teachers and coaches are getting Target gift cards from us this year thanks to the fabulous Target gift card deal a few weeks ago (sorry, it has since ended)!  I designed this card and printed it out on card stock as a 5×7 inch image.

Free Target Gift Card Printable

I used a piece of tape to secure a Target gift card to the card stock.  Then I wrapped the card a few times with some red and white twine.

You can download a copy of this card file here or by clicking the image below.  Prints best as a 5×7 inch card and I recommend printing this on a white card stock.

Back to School Teacher Gift Idea: Pencil Bouquet with FREE Printable Tag

Pencil Bouquet

While back to school teacher gifts are, of course, not something everyone does, I usually send my kiddos in with some small cheery gift.  “Cheap and cheerful” is always my mantra and other years we have given flowers in an ABC vase, candy in a crayon jar, school supplies in a gift bag, etc.

This year I wanted to come up with a gift along those lines, but something different that I haven’t done before.  I picked up a mason jar mug (with handle) and used my Silhouette machine to cut an apple out of vinyl.

Apple Vinyl Mug

Now that I had my cute teacher-themed mug, I put some paper shred inside the mug. I arranged 12 pencils amongst the shred (picked up for pennies during those great school supply sales). I tied a cute ribbon around the top of the mug and made up a tag which I will have Lily sign her name too.

Download this tag for free right here (or click on the image below).

Save this high res print by right-clicking on the image below and choose save-as. This print has been formatted to look best as a wallet-sized image.

Punch a hold in the top corner of your tag and you have a totally cute, easy, frugal gift that will look nice on the teacher’s desk!
